I WENT TO MONTREAL LOOKING FOR A BETTER PLACE NOT ONLY TO LIVE BUT ALSO TO LEARN.MY EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT BECAUSE I ACQUIRED EVERYDAY THE NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE TO TALK IN ENGLISH. ALL THE STUDENTS FROM ALL AROUND THE WORLD HAD A DIFFERENT LEVEL IN ENGLISH, SO IT MADE MORE EASE FOR ME TO ADAPT MY SELF TO THIS EXPERIENCE.

I dont speak french and for some particular reason, I was surprised to find out that not everyone speaks english in Montreal. The further north you get, the less people you are likely to find who speak good english. Overall though, I didnt have any problems with communicating..

Great opportunity to improve your French while being instructed in English; however, you have to make the effort to really find francophone friends, read French newspapers, listen to French radio stations etc.

These five months were perfect to learn the language. Maybe I should have taken english classes out of the university field.
