Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? This time, I had to share my room with someone else, next time, I would like to have my own room. But the rest was okay, that is, having to share the kitchen etc. I think the best possibility for me to have my own room would be in an apartment.
Personal comments:
The accomodation was old and far away from the university ( 20 minutes walk ), not to mention far away from the center ( 30 mintues walk ). However, everything was clean and worked ( washing machine etc. ). Besides, I liked living in a house with other Portuguese girls. Because of this I was forced to speak Portuguese. Personal assessment
Type of housing: "Republica",kind of hous existing only in Coimbra.
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: In a "Republica".
Why? Because:
1)I lived with only portuguese peolpe(9 persons) and had the opportunity to learn better the language and get many other portuguese friends.
2)I had lunch and dinner cooked every day but sunday.
3)The house was very very big and had every kind of comodity.
4)The rent was very very cheap (compared with average of portuguese rents).
5)We organized the best parties in the city.
Personal comments:
I don't know what to say; I hadn't need help from university to find my house. Thinking about my friends I could sey that they didn't received so much help from university to find their houses. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
