Permanent contract with flexible working options
Here at ScottishPower, we're working towards a cleaner future. In fact, we're the first integrated energy company to generate 100% green electricity. And as part of the (COMPANY NAME) Group, we're driving positive change by investing £7m into every working day. As a Resource Manager, you'll be at the heart of our exciting journey. When you join a world leader in green energy, you'll provide competitive advantages that'll help our business - and the world.
In this vital role you will develop and maintain a centralised view of the engineering resource requirements, including the balancing of resources across the delivery units, to meet the business needs. You will manage a team of engineering co-ordinators who will be responsible for the detailed engineering designs for all Scottish Power Transmission Project Work. All of this means you'll coordinate and manage the training plan for engineering, including budgeting requirements and develop great relationships and make informed recommendations.
A confident communicator, you will have the ability to form effective working relationships with other individuals, departments and businesses. We'll expect you to have a degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience with a working knowledge of Electricity network construction projects. All of this will be supported by your organisational and negotiation skills to help deliver 2.1 billion worth of work over the next 5 years.
In return, you can expect to have a career that'll grow. We own two state-of-the-art training centres and run around 2,000 courses a year. And we also provide plenty of other learning opportunities, including sponsorship for further education systems. Plus, you can expect a competitive pension plan, share incentive plan and a wide range of flexible benefits. We also empower everyone to work in a way that suits them. So, where possible, we support flexible and alternative ways of working.
