About the Role
Baxter/Hillrom is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers across the Midlands, South and South West of Ireland on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving technical problems and building relationships with customers. Whether you're coming from an electrical, maintenance, field service, facilities, telecoms or technical trade background, we'll provide the specialist product training needed to succeed.
You'll be responsible for installing, servicing, repairing and maintaining Baxter/Hillrom equipment, ensuring customers receive an exceptional level of support while helping to keep critical healthcare equipment operational.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, service, repair and maintain Baxter/Hillrom products.
* Diagnose and resolve equipment faults in a timely manner.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
* Provide technical support to customers and patients, recording all activity accurately within the service system.
* Ensure service reports and work orders are completed promptly and accurately.
* Maintain and document assigned calibration and test equipment.
* Act as a trusted technical resource for customers, account managers and colleagues.
* Support tender submissions and contracts by providing technical expertise.
* Complete all required training to maintain product knowledge and technical competence.
* Monitor service metrics and continually strive to improve customer experience and service delivery.

Essential Requirements
* Technical qualification, apprenticeship, trade background or relevant hands-on experience.
* Strong practical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Full driving licence.
Desirable
* Experience servicing, repairing or maintaining technical equipment.
* Electrical, electronic or electro-mechanical knowledge.
* Experience in a customer-facing technical role.
* Knowledge of networking, connectivity or device integration would be advantageous.
No previous medical device experience is required - full product training will be provided.
