We are seeking a motivated intern to support primary market research in India's agricultural biologicals sector (Biologicals, Biofertilizers, Biopesticides & Plant Growth Regulators). The role involves conducting surveys with farmers, retailers, distributors, and agronomists to assess product adoption, market penetration, growth opportunities, and challenges across regions and crop segments.
Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Data Collection
* Conduct structured surveys and interviews with farmers and retailers.
* Gather data on product awareness, adoption, usage patterns, market penetration, and purchase drivers.
* Ensure accuracy of survey responses and maintain survey databases and field reports.
Market Analysis
* Analyze adoption trends across states, regions, and crop categories.
* Assess farmer usage, retailer stocking preferences, product acceptance, and repeat purchase behavior.
* Identify market opportunities and unmet needs.
Growth Drivers, Barriers & Gap Assessment
* Evaluate growth drivers such as yield improvement, organic farming adoption, export requirements, and government initiatives.
* Identify barriers including awareness gaps, pricing concerns, efficacy perceptions, regulatory challenges, and distribution limitations.
* Recommend strategies to improve adoption through training, demonstrations, retailer engagement, and advisory programs.
Reporting
* Prepare data summaries, insights, and actionable recommendations.
* Support development of dashboards and market research reports.
Key Deliverables
* State-wise and crop-wise adoption analysis.
* Regional market opportunity assessment.
* Farmer and retailer perception insights.
* Growth driver and barrier analysis.
* Gap assessment with recommendations.
* Survey findings dashboard/report.
Preferred Qualifications
* Pursuing or recently completed B.Sc./M.Sc. Agriculture, Agri-Business Management, Rural Management, or related fields.
* Strong interest in agricultural inputs, biologicals, sustainability, and market research.
* Proficiency in MS Excel
* Willing to travel for field surveys; telephonic surveys may be conducted partially in selected states.
* Duration of the internship - 1 month
