About the Role
Are you looking for an opportunity to gain valuable commercial experience within a global organization? As a Sales Business Support Intern in our Fragrance Division, you will play an important role in supporting the Sales team through a variety of administrative, analytical, and operational activities.
This internship offers hands-on exposure to the fragrance industry and the opportunity to work closely with Sales, Perfumery, Marketing, Regulatory, Customer Care, and Supply Chain teams. You will support customer interactions, coordinate fragrance samples and projects, maintain commercial data and reports, and contribute to the smooth execution of daily business operations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the Sales team with administrative and customer-related activities
* Assisting in the preparation of quotations, presentations, and business reviews
* Maintaining accurate customer and project information in company systems and CRM platforms
* Coordinating fragrance sample requests and tracking customer feedback
* Monitoring project timelines and maintaining relevant documentation
* Updating sales reports, project pipelines, and market information
* Assisting with forecasting, reporting, and data analysis activities
* Supporting order processing, pricing documentation, and customer proposals
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure excellent service and communication
* Following company policies and maintaining confidentiality while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
About the YES Programme
This internship forms part of the Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme, a business-led collaboration with the South African Government aimed at reducing youth unemployment by creating opportunities for young people to develop new skills and gain meaningful workplace experience.
Since 2022, Symrise South Africa has proudly supported this initiative and remains committed to creating opportunities for unemployed youth while contributing to a more sustainable and inclusive future.
About You
We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented young professionals who are eager to begin their careers in a dynamic commercial environment.
To be eligible for this opportunity, you must:
* Be an unemployed South African youth between the ages of 18 and 29
* Hold a completed tertiary qualification
* Be currently unemployed
* Not have participated in a YES4Youth Programme previously
In addition, you ideally possess:
* Strong administrative and organizational skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills
* A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
* The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
