Job Summary:
Completes troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop independently while coaching and developing less experienced technicians
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Mississauga, ON).
Will make an impact in the following ways:
* Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
* Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
* Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
* Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
* Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
* Maintain own tools
Position: Truck and Coach Technician (310T)
Required Qualifications
* Valid Ontario Truck and Coach (310T) License is mandatory for this position.
* Minimum of five (5) years of Truck and Coach repair experience.
Compensation
* Hourly wage: $44.81 to $48.62, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Placement within the wage range will be determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
* Premium of $2.00 per hour for hours worked on refuse packers, chemical waste vehicles (excluding new units), and motor homes.
* Premium of $2.25 per hour for hours worked on transit buses.
Schedule
* Rotational 4 x 10-hour day shift.
* Weekdays only, consisting of four (4) workdays scheduled between Monday and Friday.
* Shift hours: 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience working on Cummins engines is considered an asset.
* Previous bumper-to-bumper Truck and Coach repair experience is considered an asset.
-This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations and must meet the conditions of the company policy
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)

* Performs complex unassisted engine overhauls
* Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools
* Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
* Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation
