Descrizione del lavoro:

Jolt Capital is a leading private equity firm specialized in growth investing in deeptech companies, with a mission to build future leaders with a global focus. Since 2011, Jolt Capital invests in European B2B companies with revenues between EUR10M and EUR50M. Jolt Capital's team is composed solely of experienced investors and managers of high-tech companies. Its proprietary AI platform, Jolt.Ninja, enables enriched sourcing, accelerated due diligence and automatic detection of investment or acquisition targets. Jolt Capital is located in Paris, Lausanne, Copenhagen, Milan, Montreal, Seoul, Tokyo and the Silicon Valley.
We are looking for a hands-on data profile with engineering discipline, high standards and real professional maturity. The ideal candidate should be able to understand both the technical and business purpose of the data: improving Jolt.Ninja's ability to identify, organise and interpret relevant information in Japan and in Japanese. This role is particularly suited to someone who is still young enough to be eligible for the VIE programme but has already demonstrated professional reliability, ownership and resilience in a demanding work environment. Key Responsibilities * Clean, structure and enrich Japanese-language data used by Jolt.Ninja, ensuring accuracy, consistency and usability across internal workflows. * Review and improve the quality of company, market, investor and ecosystem data related to Japan and the broader Asian market. * Work on LP-related data, including data cleansing, categorisation, validation and enrichment, in coordination with the relevant internal teams. * Identify recurring data quality issues, propose improvements and help build more robust processes for Japanese data integration. * Support the adaptation of Jolt.Ninja to Japanese-language content, including naming conventions, search relevance, entity recognition, translation nuances and local business terminology. * Collaborate closely with the Jolt.Ninja team in France to test, document and improve data pipelines, quality checks and user feedback loops. * Help map relevant Japanese data sources, ecosystems, investors, companies and strategic partners that may support Jolt Capital's local development. * Contribute to the creation of structured datasets and documentation to improve the platform's understanding of the Japanese market. * Support ad hoc analytical projects involving market intelligence, portfolio monitoring, sourcing or investor data. * Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity standards when handling strategic, investor-related or proprietary information

Requisiti del candidato:

Profile * Engineering degree or Master's degree in data science, computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, information systems, finance engineering or a related quantitative field. * Not a purely junior profile: the candidate should have already completed at least one meaningful professional experience, ideally a first full-time role, a demanding internship, a graduate programme or substantial project work involving data. * Strong experience with data cleaning, data quality, data structuring, databases, Excel or Python-based data workflows. * Ability to handle messy, multilingual or unstructured datasets and turn them into reliable, usable and documented information. * Excellent command of Japanese and English is required; French would be a strong advantage given the reporting line to the Jolt.Ninja team in France. * Good understanding of Japanese business culture, company information sources, market practices and local terminology. * Interest in AI, data platforms, private equity, deeptech, market intelligence and international expansion. * Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, autonomy and ability to question data rather than simply process it. * Comfortable working remotely with a France-based technical and investment team, across time zones and cultures. * Eligible for the VIE programme
