A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Gas Turbine Applications Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to the world of industrial power generation and gas turbine technology. Working alongside experienced Application Engineers, you will support real customer projects, contribute to technical analyses, and learn how Siemens Energy helps customers maximize the performance and reliability of their gas turbine assets.

Throughout your internship, you will explore the fundamentals of gas turbines, gain practical experience with the Siemens Energy SGT-800 fleet, and participate in activities that bridge engineering theory with real-world applications. You may even have the opportunity to visit operating power plants and witness gas turbine maintenance and inspection activities firsthand.

How You'll Make an Impact

* Support Application Engineers in preparing technical documentation, activity scopes, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for customer maintenance and inspection projects.
* Assist in maintaining and updating engine performance and operational data within Siemens Energy systems.
* Contribute to gas turbine life cycle assessments, including Equivalent Operating Hours (EOH) and Equivalent Operating Cycles (EOC) calculations.
* Support troubleshooting investigations and technical analyses of field-related gas turbine issues.
* Participate in engineering projects and assignments related to the Siemens Energy SGT-800 gas turbine fleet.
* Gain practical exposure to outage planning, maintenance execution, and power plant operations.
* Learn how world-class engineering teams collaborate to improve asset reliability, performance, and operational efficiency for customers.
What You Bring

* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Energy Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Basic understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, rotating equipment, or power generation systems.
* Strong curiosity and enthusiasm for gas turbines, power plants, and industrial energy solutions.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret technical information and engineering data.
* Strong communication skills in English; additional language capabilities such as Thai are advantageous.
* Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
* Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic engineering setting.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
