Fondée en 2019, (COMPANY NAME) est une startup en pleine expansion et souhaite devenir le leader européen de l'hydrogène Bas Carbone et Renouvelable. Son activité s'articule autour du développement de projets de Production d'Hydrogène ou d'e-fuels incluant la construction, le financement et l'exploitation des actifs.
Poste et missions:

Over the past four years, EDF has created a dedicated company - (COMPANY NAME) - to work on the production and distribution of low carbon and renewable hydrogen. (COMPANY NAME) is currently operating in three countries, France, Germany and UK. The developments in the UK have been successful so far and led to the creation in September 2023 of an affiliate (COMPANY NAME) UK Limited, 100% owned by (COMPANY NAME) SAS in France.

(COMPANY NAME) develops low-carbon hydrogen projects for large scale mobility and industry and with a high level of complexity. To support the development and implementation of these projects, the technical lead is responsible for coordinating the technical studies in their execution from the development of the project to the commissioning of the installation in compliance with the established budgets, deadlines and quality.

Our successful development is now leading us to look for a Junior Technical Lead, who will contribute to the coordination of all the actors concerned (project management, external engineering, internal technical support, etc.) in line with the allotment and the technical specifications.

You will be part of the (COMPANY NAME) UK Team and work under the responsibility of your tutor, the UK Technical Director and the head of the Major Projects and Industry Department based in France.

Daily tasks :

As a Junior Technical Lead, your tasks will be to support the studies of one or more hydrogen or e-fuel production projects. In particular, you will:

- Contribute to the definition of specifications that meet the technical performance objectives of the project,

- Participate in consultations with External Engineers and Suppliers with the support of the Purchasing department,

- Participate in project engineering reviews,

- Provide support for the successful launch of the studies necessary to the proper definition of the input data and the launch of the project (topographical, geotechnical, pollution, connections, etc.),

- Ensure the optimization and techno- economic standardization of the choice of designs in interface with the manufacturers,

- Implement processes, methodologies, governance and tools required for the successful execution of projects,

- Coordinate the resources and disciplines of technical expertise necessary for the definition of specifications and design review,

- Ensure that quality and HSE needs are taken into account during all phases of the project.

As a Junior Technical Lead, you must also be able to understand the issues of the people you work with. In particular, you must learn to perceive the requirements of the operations in order to anticipate the challenges during the implementation phase.

As the development of projects can take several years, you will have to show endurance, long-term vision and conviction. You will have to quickly integrate the global challenges of the energy transition and the various possibilities for deep decarbonization of industry.

Finally, you will participate in the REX process and ensure the implementation of the company's industrial policy on the projects.

Candidate Requirements:

Completed postgraduate studies in engineering or equivalent,

Technical skills:

- Strong technical background (engineering background)
- Basic generic knowledge of a project's ecosystem
- Writing skills in both English and French.
