Position: Operations Analytics Co-op/Intern
Number of Position(s): 3
Duration: 4 Months (with potential extension for Summer 2027)
Date: January - April 2027
Location: Onsite, Ottawa, ON, Canada
EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Currently a candidate for a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.

What you will do:
* Support day-to-day operational activities and process optimization initiatives.
* Analyze operational and business data using Excel and Power BI to develop dashboards, reports, and performance metrics.
* Design and develop demand planning reports using Power BI, Excel, and Power Automate to support staffing forecasts and resource planning activities.
* Build automated reporting solutions that provide actionable insights across regions and user profiles for operational performance reviews.
* Assist in developing and applying AI-based solutions for data analysis, automation, forecasting, and operational optimization.
* Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams on data-driven projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Prepare presentations, reports, and executive summaries to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
* Maintain documentation and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of operational data across systems

Candidate Requirements:

You Must Have:
* Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts gained through coursework, projects, or practical experience.
* Experience using Power BI for dashboard creation, reporting, or data visualization.
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
* Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to data accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
It Would Be Nice If You Also Had:
* Experience with Python, SQL, or similar data analysis and automation tools.
* Familiarity with operational processes and workflows in a technology-driven environment.
* Prior internship, co-op, academic project, or consulting experience related to operations, analytics, business intelligence, or process improvement.
* Experience with Power Automate or other workflow automation tools.
* Exposure to forecasting, demand planning, or business performance reporting.
* Familiarity with AI-driven analytics, automation, or predictive modeling techniques
