Community Health Intern (CHW) - Maternal & Public Health (Remote)

Job Description:

Join My Baby My Way Foundation, a mission-driven nonprofit improving outcomes for mothers, babies, and families. As a Remote International Public Health Intern, you will train and work alongside our team as a Community Health Worker (CHW), serving as a trusted advocate, educator, and connector helping clients navigate healthcare, social services, and wellness resources.

Our CHW program supports 10,000+ mothers, babies, and families each month through community health navigation, education, and digital care tools. This is a paid remote internship position with paid training. The role is 100% remote, based on Cairo, Egypt time.

Schedule: 6:30 PM - 11:30 PM Cairo Time (EET, UTC+3), equivalent to 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM Pacific Daylight Time. 25 hours per week, 120 hours total required.

What You'll Do:
- Deliver culturally responsive education on pregnancy, postpartum recovery, infant care, and family wellness as a practicing CHW.
- Help clients understand care plans, appointments, and available health and social benefits.
- Connect families to housing, food, transportation, mental health, and medical resources through CHW navigation practices.
- Support client engagement with MyBabyMyWay.AI and digital care tools.
- Document services accurately following HIPAA and CHW program protocols.
- Participate in community outreach activities and collaborative care coordination.
- Work with supervisors to meet quality, engagement, and reporting standards consistent with CHW best practices.

Training Provided:
All new interns complete the MBMW CHW training pathway, which includes: Maternal & Family Health Foundations, Cultural humility and advocacy, Trauma-informed engagement, Documentation standards, Digital systems and workflow tools, and Client communication and outreach practices.

Ongoing professional development, coaching, and advancement opportunities are provided. High-performing interns will be considered for ongoing remote CHW employment with MBMW upon completion.

Candidate Requirements:

Strong English communication skills - written and verbal. (required)
Currently enrolled or recently graduated in Public Health, Community Health, Nursing, Health Sciences, Social Work, or a related field.
Available to work remotely 6:30-11:30 PM Cairo time, 25 hours per week.
A reliable internet connection and a personal computer are required.
Comfortable working across time zones with a U.S.-based team
Preferred: familiarity with community health, maternal health, or case management.
