Student Worker Opportunities - H1 2026 (Billund)
In the first half of 2026, we are excited to welcome several new student workers to join our teams in Billund. These roles span across back-end, full-stack, infrastructure, and application software engineering, offering great opportunities to learn, grow, and make an impact.
Back-end Engineering (1 role)
* Role 1 We're seeking a team-oriented developer with strong experience in Typescript or object-oriented languages like Java/C#. You'll work on both frontend and backend development, working on CI/CD, data integration, API management, and databases. Familiarity with GraphQL, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), Rust, OpenSearch/Elastic, Infrastructure-as-Code, and distributed systems is a plus.
Full Stack Engineering (3 roles)
* Role 1 The role demands strong communication and collaboration skills, curiosity, openness to learning, positivity, and foundational programming knowledge. While experience with C# is beneficial, solid programming fundamentals are acceptable, along with general technical experience for development. Tasks encompass a wide range, including ownership of frontend, backend, deployment pipelines, hosting, data, security, monitoring, and alerting.
* Role 2 & 3 We're seeking students with enthusiasm for growth, proficient English skills, teamwork in agile environments, and strong problem-solving abilities. Nice-to-have skills include basic programming in object-oriented languages like C#, modern front-end frameworks like React, GitHub experience, user experience passion, AI understanding, teamwork, and effective communication. Tasks involve following features through the software lifecycle, from planning to production, and working with APIs alongside experienced engineers.
Frontend Engineering (1 role)
* Role 1 Preferred skills include web development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node, Python, Express.js, API building, AWS infrastructure, and Kubernetes. Tasks involve building user interfaces in React, developing APIs, and working with PostgreSQL database data.
Application Engineering (2 roles)
* Role 1 The role requires basic knowledge of software testing and game development, with tasks including planning and managing testing, both manual and automated, in Unreal Engine, while using GitHub and P4. Experience with source control and Unreal Engine is a plus.
* Role 2 Key skills include hands-on experience with IT system customization, curiosity about new technology, and interest in cloud technologies within the Microsoft Power Platform. Programming knowledge (e.g., C#, JavaScript, Python) is ideal. Experience in similar IT roles is a plus. Tasks involve customizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 features, supporting engineering tasks, configuring Microsoft products like Power Automate and Power BI, interacting with stakeholders for feature requirements, and providing ad-hoc user support. You'll engage in our agile development framework.
Infrastructure Engineering (1 role)
* Role 1 The role requires technical communication, software design patterns and architecture, embedded systems experience, testing techniques, problem-solving, critical thinking, agile methodologies, and a collaborative mindset. Skills in hardware design, measurement techniques, and data analysis are advantageous. Tasks include optimizing deployment pipelines, automating workflows, and developing and improving tools.
We're looking for students who
* Are currently enrolled in Denmark in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Erhvervsakademi (professional academy) program in fields such as Computer Science, Software Development or a related digital discipline.
* Graduating summer 2028 or beyond, having at least 2 years left of studies.
* Are curious and willing to learn, with a positive, team-player attitude.
* Can be present 15-20 hours per week, ideally with 1-2 days at our LEGO Campus in Billund.
* Are passionate about digital technology and eager to contribute to real projects.

The application portal will remain open from 27 March to 10 April 2026. If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to attend our Assessment Day on 8 May 2026 at our LEGO Campus in Billund. Following the Assessment Day, there will be one final interview round. The expected start date for successful candidates is either 1 July or 1 August 2026.
