This job is within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for daily execution of the payment processing functions within the Payments & Digital Strategy Department at American Airlines Credit Union.
What you'll do
* Lead and manage the daily wire/funds transfer functions to ensure strict compliance of applicable rules & regulations and Federal Banking laws
* Evaluate daily wire/funds transfer workload, and assigns daily tasks to the wire transfer team, ensuring accuracy and completion of all daily work by the respective deadlines
* Support the general ledger account reconciliation for Funds Transfers
* Review and correct any GL out of balances
* Handle member escalation issues
* Ensure all wires (incoming and outgoing) are processed accurately daily
* Maintain user authorization records for wire/funds transfer to comply with the Federal Reserve Bank and other detailed records for Internal/External audit purposes
* Assist with wire transfer audits
* Facilitate and support departmental projects - submit and monitor Support Cases with IT
* Cross-train and assist within the department
* Review and approve wires (domestic and international)
* Assist with updating departmental Policies and Procedures and coordinates communications with the Solution Center to deliver Payments Processing/wire transfer related updates to staff
* Coordinate monthly meetings for the Payments Processing/wire group, including meeting agenda, meeting minutes, updates and any follow up that may be required
* Perform administrator duties for the third-party applications used in the department: FedLine,Tranzact, Convera, etc.
* Remain up to date on current developments in the Payments world by regularly attending conferences and other workshops
* Ensure proper phone coverage and be available to assist with member and other departments/branches questions
* Research and resolve wire/funds transfer issues
* Perform other duties as assigned
* The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
* ​High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
* Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related area of study or equivalent experience
* Previous banking or Credit Union experience with Payments transactions and systems
* Experience and knowledge of Episys, Convera and FedLine
* Previous supervisory or leadership experience
* Wire certification
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
* Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
* Ability to demonstrate superior people management and employee engagement skills, to include directing, coaching, counseling and motivating staff
* Ability to supervise multiple staff personnel
* Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and exercise effective interpersonal skills
* Ability to effectively work with people of varying backgrounds and levels and securing inter- and intra-departmental and external cooperation
* Ability to evaluate processes and make recommendations for automating solutions for process efficiencies
* Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a team
* Ability to self-motivate with strong organization skills and capacity for attention to detail
* Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and decision making skills
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Ability to work well under deadlines and high volume pressure
* Ability to work varying schedules, including evenings and weekends
* Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
* Ability to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
