Job Description:
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an A400M Flight Management System (FMS) Design Work Package Leader to join our E2E Mission & Functions department (1YAX) based in Toulouse, France.
You will join the FMS & AN design office (1YAXD), responsible for the design of Flight Management and Airport Navigation systems for all Airbus aircrafts of today and tomorrow.

Your challenges:
* Scoping and Requirements Definition: Liaise with internal customers and stakeholders to understand, analyze, and address development requests for the A400M FMS.
* System Design Leadership: Lead the definition activities and design processes for the next A400M Flight Management System standards.
* Supplier and Subcontractor Management: Manage and oversee a major multi-national supplier and various subcontractors involved in the Work Package.
* Transnational Coordination and Interfaces: Drive a wide network of multidisciplinary interfaces, including laboratory and flight test teams, aircraft programs, safety, certification, and airworthiness.
* Process Improvement and Innovation: Support the optimization of design processes, drive knowledge capitalization, and foster new ways of working within the design office.
Your boarding pass:
* Background in Engineering or equivalent, specializing in aeronautics, embedded systems, or avionics.
* Required Experience: Significant experience in system design (5 years min) with a strong background in flight management/guidance & control, software/hardware specification, or flight physics/aircraft performance.
* Technical Skills: Mastery of avionics systems engineering (preferably FMS), specification of cockpit multi-systems functions, with valuable assets in airline/military flight operations, customer support, or systems testing.
* Soft Skills: Strong persuasion & influencing skills, decision-making ability, autonomy, a proactive approach to strict timescales, and the flexibility to drive the bigger picture within transnational teams.
* Negotiation level in English is mandatory; negotiation level in French is highly desirable.
