About the Role

We are currently looking for a Design Advisor to join our team at our new store in the heart of Amstelveen - just south of Amsterdam, in one of the Netherlands' top-rated shopping destinations.
If you are passionate about design and enjoy helping others create beautiful, functional spaces - this role is for you.
You will connect the world of Tylko's innovative furniture solutions with the real needs of our customers, offering expert advice and a personalised experience built on creativity and technology. As a Design Advisor, you will become part of a close-knit showroom team and support customers at every stage of their journey - from discovering customisation possibilities to configuring their ideal piece of furniture. Your goal will be to shape the customer experience so that every visit to the showroom is a source of inspiration and valuable knowledge, while strengthening the relationship with the Tylko brand.

What you'll do:

* Provide professional customer service and offering personalised design advice and product recommendations
* Introduce customers to the world of Tylko in an accessible and engaging way - from furniture and material customisation, through our R&D innovations, to our sustainability initiatives
* Guide customers through the digital furniture configurator so they can create furniture tailored to their individual needs
* Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure consistency with the Tylko brand identity
* Gather customer feedback and sharing insights with HQ and R&D teams
* Contribute to the store's sales and quality targets, including ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction

What we're looking for:

* A passion for design, furniture, and architecture, backed by studies or genuine personal interest
* Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch
* The ability to explain technical product details in a simple, engaging, and enthusiastic way
* Openness and confidence with customers: quickly building trust, understanding needs, and giving thoughtful design advice
* Comfort with digital tools such as a product configurator and CRM system
* A collaborative, team-first mindset
* A proactive approach and a bias for taking initiative
* Enthusiasm for working with innovative products and creating exceptional customer experiences
Important: Previous customer-facing experience (retail, showroom, hospitality, or services) is a plus but not required. What matters is that you genuinely enjoy working with people and want to be their trusted partner in the design process.
