Associate Manager, Localization

Role Purpose
Coordinate and/or assist in the development and implementation of global and regional marketing and loyalty initiatives, both brand specific and multi-branded. Ensure localized versions of initiatives are produced effectively and serve as a primary contact with internal stakeholders, external agencies and translation vendors for related projects. Optimize available communication channels and provide tactical recommendations to support business objectives. Coordinate production of localized promotional and program materials.

Key Accountabilities

* Assist in the development and implementation of global broad-base and region-specific programs, ensuring effective and efficient use of all digital channels.
* Manage day-to-day relationships with translation vendors, evaluating the quality of translation projects, providing direction as appropriate, and ensuring project accuracy
and timeliness.
* Collaborate with marketing, branding and other internal teams to determine their needs and recommend solutions.l
* Manage the end-to-end process of content translation requests through internal portals, CMS systems, or vendor platforms.
* Manage timelines from intake of request through delivery of online or offline assets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budgetary guidelines.
* Maintain a high standard of localization across all online and offline platforms and assets.
* Review reported localization issues and provide or implement appropriate fixes.
* Assist in maintaining linguistic style guides, translation memories, and terminology databases.
* Coordinate the production and delivery of localized promotional and program materials.
* Assist in the execution of initiatives, including procedural documentation and training materials for localization or marketing operations.
* Support Manager and team members with other localization or marketing projects as necessary.

Key Skills & Experiences

Education
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

Experience
2 to 5 years of progressive work-related experience in localization or a marketing environment, with demonstrated technical proficiency related to the position, including experience in hospitality.

Technical Skills and Knowledge
* Demonstrated experience in promotional, channel, or loyalty marketing preferred.
* Demonstrated knowledge of marketing concepts and basic accounting principles.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills for providing information to clients, vendors, management, and staff.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Previous work experience in a multi-lingual, multi-brand content management process, across markets and channels.
* Excellent working knowledge of industry leading translations/localization technology.
* Experience working with leading web or enterprise Content Management Systems.
* General knowledge of hotel systems and operations beneficial.
* Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills.
* Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
* Bilingual or multilingual skills a plus
