Job Description Qualifications:
Introduction:
(COMPANY NAME) are looking for highly skilled and motivated B2 Licensed Engineers to join the (COMPANY NAME) team to support the Production Supplier on-site at the modification location.

In March 2019, the UK Mod signed a $1.98Bn (£1.51Bn) deal with (COMPANY NAME) to purchase the E-7 Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning (AEW) Mk1 aircraft. The E-7 fleet will replace the current E-3D Sentry aircraft and ensure the continued delivery of the UK's Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) capability. The aircraft will enter service in 2024 and will be operated from RAF Lossiemouth, Scotland. Being based upon the 737, the platform offers significant savings in training and maintenance, as well as extremely high reliability.

The Wedgetail AEW Mk1 is based upon the highly successful 737-700 IGW NG aircraft and requires a significant modification Programme to convert it into a high-end mission system capability. To continue its commitment to the United Kingdom prosperity, (COMPANY NAME) is undertaking the modification at a UK location by a workforce comprised of both (COMPANY NAME) and subcontracted engineers and maintenance technicians in a suitably approved and equipped Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO).

Responsibilities:
* Supervise a team of Mechanics performing Aircraft Production/modification.
* Inspection and certification of scheduled maintenance tasks, defect rectification, modifications, repairs and functional tests on Avionic and Electrical systems.
* Complete all assigned work in a timely manner to optimise aircraft downtime.
* Ensure aircraft technical log book, maintenance documentation, job cards, work packages and zonal handovers are completed accurately and within prescribed timescales.
* Maintain a high standard of husbandry and cleanliness within assigned work areas.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company processes and procedures.
* Promote a just culture and report all incidents and occurrences in the (COMPANY NAME) Safety Management System.
* Highlight any technical issues, discrepancies or other issues to the Lead Engineer.
* Support the Lead Engineer with the day to day running of their allocated zone and deputise during periods of absence.
* Actively support, promote and contribute to continuous improvement ideas and lean principles.
* Assist the management team in the day to day running of the London Gatwick Operation.
* Undertake any reasonable activities as required, including working away from London Gatwick.

Required Qualifications:
* Hold a valid UK CAA Category B1 or B2 Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance License.
* Type rating on 737NG is a requirement.

Required Experience:
* Must have a minimum of 3 years exercising certification privileges with experience working in a Line or Base Maintenance environment.
* Demonstrate 6 months recent maintenance experience on type in a consecutive 2 year period and ability to hold and maintain appropriate company authorisations specific to role.
* Comprehensive understanding of Part-145 regulations.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Effective problem solver with a solution focused mindset.
* Flexible worker who is prepared to adjust working hours to meet operational demands.
* Be a team player who will grasp opportunities to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers.
* Proficiency in using Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in house systems

Shift Work Statement:
Please note that this role may require you to work a shift system, including night shift.
