Position Overview

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank's technology center in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank's technology transformation.

Software Asset & License Management ("SALM") Analyst: The overall responsibility of this function is to improve/create a robust governance around how Deutsche Bank is handling its Software License Management (SLM). This includes, but is not limited to, defining consistent processes, roles & responsibilities, and frameworks to ensure that SALM are able to demonstrate effective & independently auditable controls around deployed Software. In addition, you will also review and improve the current software license portfolio, create real time Management Reporting, look for cost saving opportunities to help reduce DB's cost base, and define & implement new controls to ensure SLM risks are minimized.

Responsibilities
* Responsible for on-boarding, managing, and maintaining portfolio of software vendors in target Software Asset Management tool
* Prepare various reports to communicate license and software deployment status to different stakeholders such as software owners, license managers, cost center owner & obtain vendor on-boarding sign-off
* Provide Software licensing expertise across a broad portfolio of End User Desktop estate software vendors e.g. Microsoft, Tableau, Adobe, Quest, Micro Focus
* Support the standardization of the toolset used for SLM (including at least license registration, proof of entitlements, software deployment metering, audit scanning etc.).
* Work with internal DB Software Owners, Global Sourcing & Software suppliers to configure and produce factual Effective License Position reports
* Support EUC project delivery lead with subject matter expertise on matters in relation to software licensing

Skills
* A strong background in banking or similar large complex organization (at least 2-4 years in the industry)
* Proven experience in Software License Management or Software Asset Management, preferably from an end user client perspective (min 3 years)
* Demonstrable experience operating Software License Management tools e.g., Flexera, Aspera USU (SmartTrack), ServiceNow SAM Pro
* Solid understanding of different software inventory discovery tools E.g., ILMT, Flexera, MECM
* Experienced producing and being able to challenge Effective License Positions generated by Software License Management tools
* Experience in interpreting software contracts and publisher software licensing rules
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to demonstrate flexibility in problem solving
* A good understanding of the complexities around working in distributed global teams
* Hands on experience in managing Software License Management tools
* (Preferred) Proven experience in software vendor on-boarding as part of a SAM project
* Excellent communication skills and fluency in both written and verbal English
