Are you in?

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

As a working student in our team, you will build a robust, parametric simulation framework and comparative analysis across medium-voltage converter topologies for AI datacenter Solid-State Transformer (SST) systems. Additionally you will be part of producing credible comparison data and documented models that de-risk demo-board decisions and support white paper deliverables.
* Build modular models for 2L/3L front-end AC/DC conversion. LLC isolation, and SyncRect low-end; maintain scalable parameterization across voltage, device ratings, magnetics, and thermal conditions
* Implement/refine loss models (semiconductor, magnetics) and validate ZVS/ZCS operation
* Automate parameter sweeps and generate efficiency/stress maps and comparison figures for the white paper
* Consolidate findings into demo-board requirements and report trade-offs

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

* Study field: Preferred graduate-level in power electronics/electrical engineering or similar
* Interest: AI datacenter power technology and understanding of SST and converter topologies (LLC, CLLC, DAB, CHB, MMC)
* Experience: Hands-on simulation with PLECS/Simulink/LTspice and Python; MATLAB a plus
* Tools and workflow:

* Simulation: PLECS, Simulink, SPICE/LTspice
* Scripting: Python (NumPy/Pandas/Matplotlib), MATLAB
* EDA: Cadence OrCAD and Allegro
* Version control and documentation: Git-based repositories, structured readmes, standardized data schemas
* As a plus: Cadence OrCAD/Allegro experience beneficial
