Guest Services Trainee - Grand Hyatt Barcelona
At Grand Hyatt Barcelona, one of the city's newest and most prestigious luxury hotels, we are looking for a motivated, proactive, and service-oriented Guest Services Trainee to join our Front Office team.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in luxury hospitality while developing the skills and knowledge required to build a successful career in hotel operations. As a Guest Services Trainee, you will support the Front Office team in delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our guests throughout their stay.

About the Role
As a Guest Services Trainee, you will learn the day-to-day operations of a luxury hotel's Front Office department while supporting the team in ensuring a seamless guest journey. You will have the opportunity to develop your communication, organizational, and customer service skills while working alongside experienced hospitality professionals.
This is an operational internship with a rotating schedule, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays according to hotel operational needs. You will collaborate closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Concierge, and other departments to ensure outstanding guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcome guests upon arrival and assist in creating a positive first impression of the hotel
* Support the check-in and check-out process under the guidance of the Front Office team
* Assist guests with requests, inquiries, and general information about the hotel and destination
* Support the coordination of room assignments, amenities, VIP setups, and special requests
* Maintain effective communication with Housekeeping, Concierge, and other operational departments
* Monitor guest arrivals, departures, and preferences to help anticipate guest needs
* Assist in handling guest feedback and escalating concerns when necessary
* Support the preparation of welcome letters, room keys, and guest amenities
* Participate in daily briefings, training sessions, and operational meetings
* Represent the Grand Hyatt brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and attention to detail
Requerimientos del candidato/a:
Qualifications
Requirements & Profile
* Currently studying or recently graduated in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field
* Proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written); additional languages are highly valued
* Previous customer service experience, hospitality internships, or exposure to luxury service environments is a plus
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and multicultural environment
* Strong team spirit and collaborative mindset
* Familiarity with hotel systems is an advantage; Opera knowledge is a plus
* Availability to complete an internship agreement through a university or educational institution, if applicable
* Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays according to operational needs
