About the Team The Network Security team is on the mission to build innovative and enterprise-level network security products and solutions, to protect online businesses from being interrupted by cyber attacks. As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis - we encourage you to apply early. Successful candidates must be able to commit to at least 3 months long internship period. Responsibilities: 1. Assist the team in the development, debugging, and optimization of the WAF/BOT system. Develop the rule engine module of WAF/BOT using the Go language to implement the detection and filtering of Web application requests; 2. Participate in the development, testing, and launch of the Console page and backend APIs for Cyber Security products; 3. Collaborate with senior engineers to monitor and analyze network traffic, and detect potential attack behaviors through the WAF system. For example, identify abnormal HTTP request patterns (such as SQL injection, XSS attacks, BOT detection etc.)

Requerimientos del candidato/a:

Minimum Qualifications - Undergraduate, or Postgraduate who is currently pursuing a degree/master in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or other STEM disciplines - Proficient in at least one programming language among Go, Python, and C, with strong coding capabilities - Familiar with common algorithms, such as one of the following: multi-threaded programming / Big Data Analysis / Machine Learning / Deep Learning, etc. - Proficient in using open-source tools such as MySQL, Redis, ES, and Hive, and master the interaction methods between programming languages and storage sources - Have a strong interest in WAF/BOT protection technology and possess solid foundational knowledge of Cyber Security, such as network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.), common network attack and defense methods, etc. Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of cloud security By submitting an application for this role, you accept and agree to our global applicant privacy policy, which may be accessed here: https://jobs.bytedance.com/en/legal/privacy
