As an Intern - Software and Algorithms Engineer, you will be part of our Sensor SW development team that works on the design and improvement of parameters used in patient monitors which measure non-invasive blood pressure. You will have access to world-class engineering facilities and be at the core of our mission to create advanced measurement technology for novel patient monitoring systems. You will work in a fast-paced and agile development environment using the latest development technologies and infrastructure. Job Description
Responsibilities
* Analyse and mathematically characterize non-invasive blood pressure waveforms.
* Perform statistical performance analysis and select the optimal methods for maximizing algorithm performance.
* Implement algorithm prototypes and integrate them into embedded device software running on hardware platforms for real-world testing.
* Validate algorithm performance through automated and manual on-device testing.
* Be part of continuous improvements in tools and our ways of working for happier employees and customers.
Qualifications and experience
* Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Information Processing or equivalent.
* Experience with signal processing and/or data analysis with MATLAB and/or Python.
* Ability to document the development process e.g., as a Master Thesis work.
Desirable skills
* Experience with embedded software development on hardware platforms (e.g., microcontrollers, real-time operating systems).
* Experience in modelling physiological signals.
* Curiosity, eagerness to learn and commitment to continuous improvement.
* Resilience and ability to perform effectively in demanding or fast-paced environments.
* Knowledge of machine learning techniques and statistical methods.
* Experience in C and C++ programming.
* Knowledge or experience with software development lifecycle in medical devices.
