About the Brand and the Team
The EMEA Commercial & Business Development team is seeking an intern to contribute to high-impact projects supporting the strategic development and performance review of the Wholesale channel (Online and Brick & Mortar) for Estée Lauder Companies. The selected candidate will gain hands-on experience in data-driven analysis, strategic planning, and business development initiatives, while benefiting from continuous leadership development and strong exposure to both Affiliate markets and Regional Brand Teams.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
As an intern, you will be an active contributor to the regional business strategy and partner growth agenda. Your role will evolve according to business priorities and strategic opportunities across our European markets, in close collaboration with senior stakeholders and key partners:
* Drive Strategic Business Initiatives:
Work closely with brand and market teams to co-lead high-impact, Europe-wide projects with top retailers - such as exclusive brand launch plans, new market entries, and business development programs accelerating brand distribution and visibility.
* Shape Commercial Strategy Reviews:
Support the preparation of strategic business reviews and leadership meetings (Top-to-Top, Regional Commercial Leadership, and Brand Steering Committees), providing insights guiding executive decision-making.
* Steer Retail Performance Analysis:
Develop and communicate actionable weekly and monthly retail performance dashboards for leading European retailers.
* Lead Strategic Marketing Alignment:
Coordinate annual marketing presentations between regional brands and major retail partners (May-June), ensuring strategic coherence and impactful storytelling aligned with growth objectives.
* Optimize Investment Efficiency:
Support the preparation and performance analysis of regional contractual investments, identifying optimization opportunities and ROI drivers to strengthen wholesale partnerships.
* Embed Sustainability in Business Strategy:
Collaborate with the sustainability team to integrate key SKUs into retailer sustainability programs, reinforcing our commitment to responsible growth and long-term brand equity.
Qualifications
Qualifications
* Education: Currently completing a Post-Graduate Degree in Top 3 French Business Schools or equivalent leading international institutions (equivalent BAC+5).
* Experience: Previous internship experience preferred required; end-of-studies internship strongly preferred. Prior experience in strategy or finance is highly valued
* Languages: Fluency in English required; French is strongly recommended but not mandatory.
* Technical Skills:
o Excellent analytical skills, with strong rigor and proven problem-solving abilities
o Advanced Excel proficiency (mandatory)
o Strong PowerPoint skills for preparing impactful presentations
o No previous sales/commercial experience needed.
