Job purpose

As a National Service Personnel within our Assurance Team, you will provide research, analytical, and administrative support to the Assurance team. The role is designed to support business development, market intelligence, client service initiatives, and operational reporting through data gathering, analysis, and insights generation. The individual will gain exposure to the professional services environment while developing analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

You will work in different industry sectors in which EY is acknowledged as a market leader, specifically: financial services, energy & utilities, oil & gas, mining & metals, telecommunications, industrial products, automotive, retail and consumer products, real estate, etc.

Key Responsibilities

Market Research & Business Intelligence

* Conduct market research on industries, sectors, competitors, and emerging business trends.

* Gather and analyze information on prospective and existing clients.

* Monitor economic, regulatory, and industry developments relevant to Assurance services.

* Support the preparation of market intelligence reports and client briefs.

* Assist in identifying business opportunities and sector growth trends.

Data Analysis & Reporting

* Collect, clean, organize, and analyze data from various sources.

* Develop spreadsheets, trackers, and dashboards to support decision-making.

* Generate periodic reports on business metrics, client engagements, and operational performance.

* Identify trends, patterns, and insights from data and present findings in a clear format.

* Support data visualization using Excel, Power BI, or other reporting tools.

Knowledge Management

* Maintain databases and repositories of research materials and market insights.

* Support the preparation and updating of knowledge-sharing materials.

* Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of information handled.

Administrative Support

* Schedule meetings and coordinate logistics when required.

* Maintain records, trackers, and project documentation.

* Undertake other duties assigned by the Assurance leadership team.

Qualifications & Requirements

* Final year university students pursuing Finance, Data Analytics, Marketing, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Information Systems or related disciplines.

* Expected CGPA of a Second Class Upper or better

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (other language is a plus).

* Demonstrated interest in business development, networking, and cultivating strong professional relationships to support client service excellence and business growth

* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

* Proficiency in French will be an added advantage

* Basic data analysis and reporting skills.

* Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or other analytics tools is an advantage.

* Ability to conduct desk research and synthesize information.
