THe Product Design intern will support defining specific product needs based on user insights; ideates to define solutions to meet user needs. Will help to create and develop design concepts and specifications that optimize the emotional and functional experience of a product, software, device, or service. Focuses on end-to-end user experiences, empathizing and balancing experiences with business and technical tradeoffs. Supports producing visual designs from concept through delivery and sustainment, supports interaction designs for hardware and/or software-based experiences, and/or contributes to hardware product designs. Will work with a team to create and communicate compelling product stories and narratives for different audiences.sting next-generation software that will empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more.

Internship length will be 6 months starting in February/March 2026.

Communication and Collaboration
* Conveys work to peers and managers within immediate team so that the audience understands. Begins to set context for stakeholders. Communicates in a professional and timely fashion.
* Works with a senior team member to create a compelling narrative for a specific product or feature and the customer. Explores new and interesting ways of telling stories (e.g., video illustrations, sound).
* Assists with fundamental tasks on projects with creative team members, program managers, and developers (e.g., the triad/quad) to define and iterate on new and existing product features.
* Participates on one study at a time and collaborates, creates, and helps the team deliver product design results. Leverages the work of others.
Design Components
* Uses a prescribed design system (e.g., content templates, icons, form design, user-interface [UI] controls, navigation models, design trends). Shares learnings and collaborates with other designers to share education for team improvements.
Product Design
* Creates wireframes, journey maps, user jobs and scenarios, task flows, and personas in support of interaction designs for hardware and/or software-based experiences under the direction of a senior team member.
* Conceptualizes and delivers artifacts at various levels of fidelity.
* Participates in the development and enhancement of product user experience via creation of interaction models and detailed designs for new and existing product features. Assists others to help ensure that the designs of the products allow the user to complete the desired functions in the best possible manner.
* Collaborates with key stakeholders (team, Engineering, PM, User Research, etc.) to successfully align design solutions to business, technical, and user requirements. Collaborates with Engineering to ensure implemented designs align to design specifications. Works with developers to iterate further on designs during implementation to ensure optimal designs

Requerimientos del candidato/a:

Basic Qualifications
* Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field
* Intermediate or advanced English proficiency.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications
* Previous internship/work experience working in product or service design
* Experience using design thinking to solve problems
