We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Materials Engineering Summer Intern based at our Mexicali facility.
As part of the Materials Engineering team within the Global Production Engineering Services Organization, you will be instrumental in providing technical consultation and solutions in materials engineering disciplines, ensuring alignment with internal and external customer specifications. You will collaborate with design engineers, production engineers, suppliers, and customers to develop manufacturing specifications for our end-item configurations.
* Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in Engineering preferably in Metallurgy, Materials, Aerospace, Chemical, Mechanical, or a related field to be graduated by 2026 or 2027.
* A proactive attitude with a strong bias toward action.
* Proficient in English, with effective communication skills (both written and spoken).
* Proficiency with design or programming tools (e.g. GRANTA, Generative AI tools, Python, MATLAB, CATIA, Ansys) in addition to basic office software.
* Ability to work independently with some guidance, effectively communicate requirements, and recommend actions based on sound engineering principles.
* Excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to collaborate across various groups.

Requerimientos del candidato/a:
* Provide on-site support for the development of one or multiple special processes in Mexicali, such as chemical processing, composites, welding, heat treatment, brazing, materials testing, etc.
* Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
* Assist in defining testing plans.
* Research and create procedures for appropriate testing methods selection.
* Develop strategies to normalize statistical data for better analysis.
* Help coordinate the setup of new products, testing and processing capabilities.
* Document and support testing and manufacturing protocols that meet Aerospace standards in various categories
