Your impact

We are looking for a Back-End Engineering Intern to join our growing team and gain hands-on experience building modern SaaS web applications. You will support the development of our InSight Planning and InSight Operations products, which help customers explore and visualize real-world travel patterns. This internship is a great opportunity to learn from experienced engineers and see how production-grade software is built and maintained.
What You Will Do
* Contribute to developing features in the StreetLight InSight applications and analytics pipeline
* Assist in delivering updates, improvements, and bug fixes
* Write basic automated tests and participate in code reviews
* Collaborate daily with developers, QA engineers, and Product Management
* Support the integration of analytics models created by Data Science and Data Engineering
* Help investigate and resolve minor production issues
Here's what you'll need
* Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
* Some experience with programming (university projects, personal projects, previous internships)
* Interest in backend development and willingness to grow in this area
* Knowledge of Python or another object-oriented language (Java, C++, Ruby) and openness to learning new technologies
* Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases
* Curiosity about cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud
* Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
* Clear communication skills and a collaborative attitude
* Fast learner who is open to feedback
Nice to have
* Basic familiarity with front-end development
