The Sales & Events Intern will support the commercial team in identifying new business opportunities and executing flawless events. You will learn the full sales cycle-from the initial inquiry and site inspection to the signing of the contract and the final event coordination.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Support & Lead Generation
* Assist the Sales Managers in researching potential corporate clients and local businesses.
* Help prepare professional sales proposals and contracts for groups and corporate accounts.
* Support the team during Site Inspections, showing potential clients the hotel's rooms and meeting facilities.
2. Event Planning & Coordination
* Assist in the creation of BEOs (Banquet Event Orders), detailing every requirement for an event (menu, audiovisual, room setup).
* Act as a liaison between the client and the hotel's operational departments (Kitchen, Banqueting, Housekeeping).
* Support on-site event execution, ensuring that meetings, weddings, or conferences run smoothly and according to the client's vision.
3. Administration & CRM Management
* Maintain and update the client database (CRM) with accurate contact information and booking history.
* Assist in preparing monthly sales reports and tracking the status of "tentative" vs. "confirmed" bookings.
* Help manage the hotel's presence on event booking platforms (e.g., Cvent, WeddingWire).
4. Client Relationship Management
* Respond to initial event inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
* Assist in organizing "Client Appreciation" events or fam-trips (familiarization trips) for travel agents and event planners
