The merger of Aviva Singapore and Singlife was announced in September 2020 and created one of the largest homegrown financial services companies in Singapore in a deal valued at S$3.2 billion. It was the largest insurance deal in Singapore at the time. Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan's leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.

Role Purpose

Support testing and delivery of the Ops Decision Engine, gaining exposure to rule-based decision systems and AI-supported operations. Focus is on learning and supporting core project activities.

Internship Period

September - December 2026 (3 months)

Key Responsibilities

* Support testing and validation of decision outputs.
* Assist in data preparation and analysis.
* Review and document Python-based outputs.
* Support rule testing (pass / refer / decline scenarios).
* Assist dashboard/reporting for KPIs.
* Document issues and improvement areas.

Requirements

* Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or related field.
* Basic knowledge of Python and data analysis.

* Strong analytical thinking
