About the Team ByteDance's Global Engineering CDN team builds and operates a highly available, cost-efficient, and high-performance global multi-cloud CDN platform that powers large-scale products such as TikTok. Our platform integrates both self-built CDN infrastructure and commercial CDN vendors across multiple regions worldwide, delivering reliable and optimized content delivery for diverse global markets. The team develops and operates core platform capabilities including domain onboarding and configuration management, content management, data analytics, and global traffic optimization. Working in a highly distributed and complex environment, we continuously evolve the platform to support both static content delivery and dynamic acceleration, while optimizing for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. Engineers in this team work across both software development and production operations, gaining hands-on experience with large-scale distributed systems, global traffic management, and multi-cloud infrastructure. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship. Our internship program offers students hands-on experience, industry exposure, and opportunities to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges while building a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. Interns will gain practical experience, explore potential career paths, and participate in social events, learning programs, and development workshops alongside industry professionals. Responsibilities - Assist in the development and analysis of CDN traffic scheduling and optimization systems. - Help build metrics, dashboards, scripts, or analysis tools for traffic distribution, cache efficiency, origin traffic, resource usage, and cost optimization. - Participate in data-driven analysis of CDN traffic patterns and operational efficiency. - Support monitoring and optimization work for scheduling stability and traffic efficiency. - Work with mentors to understand global traffic management, CDN scheduling, and multi-cloud optimization

Requerimientos del candidato/a:

Minimum Qualifications - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields. - Familiar with at least one programming language such as Python, Go, Java, or C/C++. - Basic understanding of data structures, operating systems, computer networks, or databases. - Interested in networking, traffic systems, cloud infrastructure, data analysis, or large-scale distributed systems. - Strong learning ability, analytical thinking, and willingness to solve practical engineering problems. Preferred Qualifications - Course projects, research projects, internships, or open-source experience related to backend development, networking, data analysis, or infrastructure are a plus. - Familiarity with Linux, SQL, HTTP, DNS, Python-based analysis, or basic visualization tools is a plus. - Experience building scripts, dashboards, small tools, or analysis projects is a plus. - Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
