Job Summary:
The Tax Department of Valeo Group is looking for a Tax Coordinator to join our team. The main activities will be related to tax accounting and administration processes, such as tax returns filings and payments, tax audits support, documentation preparation, among others. In this role you will have the opportunity to work in a multinational environment, facing challenges in a global scale, while developing your professional career in one of the most important areas of the Company's operations.
Responsibilities:
- Support the local tax manager on daily tasks, such as tax return filings (VAT, ICMS, Corporate Income Tax, etc.) and payments;
- Provide support during tax audits at the Company's premises or at the tax authorities;
- Prepare the documentation required by the tax authorities and internal reports regarding tax matters;
- Monitor and control the inventory process of goods in warehouses, according to tax legislation requirements;
- Keep up to date all tax documents regarding imported/exported materials and finished products, in order to guarantee the correct application of the tax exemptions provided by law;
- Analyze monthly reports issued by the Company's accounting department regarding the sales made by the foreign subsidiaries to the Company, in order to determine if there are any tax implications;
- Review and analyze the documents received from the customers regarding the sales made by them to the Company's subsidiaries abroad, in order to determine if there are any tax implications;
- Receive and record the import invoices of capital assets and raw materials, according to tax legislation requirements;
- Control and supervise the inventory process of goods in warehouses, according to tax legislation requirements;
- Participate in meetings and discussions with the Company's departments regarding tax issues;
- Make presentations to the employees regarding tax topics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Law, preferably specialized in Taxes;
English level - advanced;
Good communication skills, both written and verbal;
Analytical and problem-solving skills;
Attention to details and organization skills;
Computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook);
Team player attitude and proactive approach;
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and solve problems independently;
Adaptability and flexibility;
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively;
Flexible working hours and availability to travel when necessary.
