Tax Specialist

Do you want to be a country Tax Specialist for all our Belgian entities? Then this is the job for you!

You will be primarily responsible for VAT compliance. Furthermore, you will also have the opportunity to support with corporate income tax compliance as well as transfer pricing documentation, tax reporting, tax audits and other tax projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to further grow, deepen and broaden your tax knowledge.

You will be part of the Danone Corporate Tax Team based in the Netherlands and France. The role will however be located in Belgium where you will be working together with the Tax Manager Belgium and Alpro business teams. You will be reporting into the Head of Tax Benelux, located in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands. Some flexibility every now and then working in other Danone Belgium offices and traveling to the Danone Paris and/or Hoofddorp offices will be required. You will be part of a truly international tax team consisting of corporate tax, transfer pricing and indirect tax specialists and you will be working in a fast-paced global setting.

In this role you will regularly collaborate with various Danone stakeholders in Belgium and abroad, as well as external advisors and tax authorities. The role will offer a steep learning curve and opportunities to further grow.

Main Responsibilities:

* Review and submission of periodic VAT returns, as well as other VAT related reporting obligations such as EC sales lists and Intrastat returns
* Review of VAT accounting incl. management of the VAT cash position
* Provide support, training and VAT advice to various Danone stakeholders
* Assist in the set-up of new flows for VAT and liaise with SAP master data/IT team
* Support in the implementation of a new VAT compliance tool
* Support in the preparation of corporate income tax related returns and review of tax accounting
* Prepare and file withholding tax returns
* Assist in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation
* Provide support in tax audits (VAT, company income tax, transfer pricing)
* Provide support in tax projects

Your Profile:
* You have a Master or Bachelor's degree in Tax, Law, Finance or related field
* You have working experience of at least 3 to 4 years in Tax, preferably VAT
* You are willing to (further) expand your scope beyond VAT
* You have strong analytical skills and good business acumen
* You are a team player who is confident in communicating with others
* You are hands-on and you take initiative and ownership of the job
* Sound knowledge of MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and ERP system (SAP is a big asset).
* Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and verbal. French is an asset.
