Description du poste:
SumUp enables businesses to get paid easily, process orders quickly, sell online instantly and manage their money more efficiently. We create the tools businesses need to make their business and their customer experience thrive.
Corporate IT at SumUp is evolving from reactive support into a modern Workplace Technology function. We're looking for a System Administrator who enjoys owning systems end-to-end, improving how they run, and making the employee experience smoother at scale.
This role is office-based.
The role in a nutshell:
You'll administer and continuously improve the core IT systems that SumUppers use daily - and you'll help shape how Corporate IT operates as we scale.
What you'll do:
* Own the day-to-day health and configuration of one or more IT systems/services (identity, endpoint, collaboration, service management, etc.).
* Troubleshoot proactively - you don't just wait for tickets; you spot patterns and fix root causes.
* Design and propose improvements across multiple tools (e.g., consistent access models between Google Workspace and Slack).
* Build scalable lifecycle processes (onboarding, offboarding, device flows) in close collaboration with People/HR and managers.
* Create and maintain standards (endpoint setup procedures, naming conventions, access models) and keep documentation current.
* Define and implement monitoring/alerting requirements (e.g., VPN uptime, MDM compliance, service queue health) so the team can act before users notice.
* Run small-to-medium projects with clear boundaries: new SaaS rollouts, process improvements, lightweight automation, operational cleanups.
* Identify and reduce IT technical debt - balancing quick wins with sustainable change.
You will be great for this role if you:
* Work independently and drive improvements without constant direction.
* Treat documentation as a core part of the job ("if it's not written down, it doesn't exist").
* Can move comfortably across multiple platforms (not just one favourite tool).
* See tickets as signals - and focus on the systems thinking behind them.
* Are comfortable with ambiguity and can turn "unclear" into "actionable".
Must-haves:
* Hands-on experience administering modern corporate IT systems (identity, endpoint management, collaboration, service desk).
* Experience across at least several of: Google Workspace, Entra ID/Azure AD, Intune, Jira/JSM, Slack, 1Password, VPN tooling.
* Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive, improvement-oriented mindset.
* Experience working with stakeholders across the business (IT, People/HR, InfoSec, Office Management).
* A documentation-first approach.
Nice-to-have
* Jamf experience (if your primary background is macOS management).
* Automation/scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) or low-code automation (n8n, Zapier).
* Experience improving monitoring/alerting and operational dashboards.
* Familiarity with security/compliance practices (access reviews, least privilege, audit readiness).
* Experience in regulated environments (fintech/banking/healthcare).
Why you should join SumUp
* Make an impact on a global scale - our systems serve millions of merchants
* Learn from experienced engineers while working on complex, real-world problems
* Be part of a tech-agnostic team that uses the right tools for the job
* Collaborate with SumUppers worldwide on large-scale fintech products used by millions, based in our Sofia office (office-first setup).
* Access a EUR2,000 annual L&D budget to attend conferences or advance your career through education.
* Enjoy 25 days of paid leave (increasing with tenure), plus paid vacations for special occasions and a 1-month sabbatical every 3 years.
* Benefit from extra perks like health and life insurance, co-sponsored Multisport cards, childbirth/adoption bonuses, discounts, a referral program, 100 EUR monthly food vouchers, 40 EUR flexible benefits, and more.
