Commodity Risk Manager

Commodity Risk is a key strategic control position within the bp's Supply Trading and Shipping (ST&S) organization. The role holder serves as the primary interface for trading and supply benches, while managing the daily activities that meet the team's core responsibility of serving as a control function, delivering independent daily exposure and P&L, and provides analytics to support business insight, including working capital and cash.

As a Manager at BP BSC KFT, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of and mitigating commodity price exposure, ensuring robust risk frameworks, and providing insightful analysis to support trading and commercial decisions.

In this role you will (be):
* Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive commodity risk management strategies and policies.
* Supervise and analyze market trends, sentiment, and fundamental data to identify potential risks and opportunities.
* Conduct advanced portfolio analytics to assess overall risk exposure and performance.
* Generate and present clear data visualizations and interpretations of complex risk data to various collaborators.
* Ensure strict adherence to internal control frameworks, compliance regulations, and trade discipline.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with trading, finance, and other departments to integrate risk management practices.
* Proactively identify and assess operational risks associated with commodity trading activities.
* Lead and contribute to the development of innovative risk management tools and methodologies.
* Provide thought leadership on evolving market dynamics and their implications for commodity risk.
* Solve complex risk-related problems, developing and recommending effective solutions.

What you'll need to be successful:
* Proven experience in Commodity Risk Management and Market Risk Management.
* Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated ability in data visualization and interpretation.
* In-depth understanding of trading fundamentals and market knowledge.
* Experience with internal control and compliance frameworks.
* Familiarity with operational risk management principles.
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
* A track record of creativity and innovation in risk management.
* Ability to demonstrate thought leadership and influence decision-making.
* Experience in sentiment and trends analysis.
* Proficiency in portfolio analytics.
