Inspection and service of Lifting Equipment experience essential.

As a home-based team member, you will establish effective relationships with your colleagues and a group of assigned customers to deliver the inspection expectations for (COMPANY NAME) and their customers.

The successful candidate will work within a national team of highly trained and experienced Engineer Surveyors, who carry out high quality inspections of many plant types. This is a challenging, specialist multidiscipline role, which carries a great deal of responsibility and requires a number of specific traits and abilities.

We want you to be dedicated in providing quality customer service in a hardworking, detailed and flexible way. You will be inspecting your customers plant and equipment to ensure compliance, improve safety and increase performance.

You will have the freedom to craft you own work schedule to meet your customers' requirements. You will utilise our digital first initiative in producing your reports on site at the time of the inspection, which will in turn be available to our Customers instantly on their My Engineering Services online portal.

We provide inspections in the areas of
* Pressure equipment
* LPG
* Lifting equipment
* Crane
* Machinery
* Work equipment
* Electrical installations

Duties and Responsibilities
* Management of a defined group of customers within scheduled timeframes
* Inspection service of Pressure, Lifting and Electrical plant to comply with statutory obligations
* Risk Management - monitor and report on risks to underwriter's and Policy Holder
* Complete special service work such as pre-purchase inspection or evaluation of repairs/alterations of machinery
* Reporting on inspections on bespoke system
* Working from home base as part of a regionalised team
* Participation in inspection related project work
* Dedicated to provide a quality customer service to customers/brokers
* Have a strong customer focus.
* Have an enthusiastic, dependable, flexible and positive approach to work.
* Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
* Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines

Skills and Experience Required
* Academic qualification in a relevant field of Engineering, or recognised status via a relevant Engineering Institution together with a relevant level of practical experience in a related Engineering field
* Extensive experience within a relevant Engineering field
* Full Clean driving licence
* Proficient PC skills ( Microsoft office)
* Ability to manage a portfolio of clients
* Knowledge of types of defects, failure modes
* Knowledge of Damage and deterioration mechanisms
