As the Growth Marketing Manager (Expansion), you will operate at the intersection of Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Product. You will work to craft and create content to engage our developers throughout their experience with MongoDBand strengthen relationships to drive adoption, retention, expansion, and upsell motions.
This role requires expertise in Product-Led Growth (PLG) and lifecycle marketing. You will design and execute dynamic, personalized experiments across email, in-product messaging, and digital channels. Crucially, you will help orchestrate the "hand-off" to Sales, ensuring a seamless transition from self-serve adoption to enterprise agreements. You are a customer advocate first, working to accelerate their success on MongoDB, knowing that revenue follows value.
You have expertise in adjusting tactics throughout the customer lifecycle, driving adoption of additional products and services, and retention strategies, from a marketing, product, and sales perspective. You also have experience in marketing to developers to drive early-stage planning through to cross-functional execution. You possess strong communication and collaboration skills.
This is a highly visible role that requires a change agent with natural leadership skills and the ability to work across multiple teams with members at different levels. You are adept at thinking strategically and tactically to get things done by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing Operations, Data Analytics, Customer Success, Engineering, and Developer Relations.
We are looking to speak with candidates based in Ireland, preferably adjacent to Dublin for our hybrid working model.
Responsibilities
* Be a curious problem solver who is driven with improving our Product-Led-Growth to Product-Led-Sales methodology so that we can expand in existing customer accounts
* Defining and executing marketing plans with the rest of the Growth Marketing team to keep project timelines updated and clear across all stakeholders
* Creating and optimizing programs and channels through experimentation. This involves partnering with other key teams to generate and test hypotheses across product-led and human-led strategies to drive account growth
* Developing and conducting rigorous A/B tests to continuously improve content and program performance, channel effectiveness and understanding of customer behaviour
* Creating and curating relevant content including digital nudges: smart prompts, upgrade paths, in-app moments, email triggers, and journey orchestration that keep MongoDB top of mind for the next workload
* Performing strategic product, market, and customer analyses to identify new growth drivers or opportunities for improvement
* Uncovering and leveraging new emerging channels and opportunities to accelerate growth and workload expansion
* Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on KPIs to ensure marketing initiatives reach revenue objectives
* Working collaboratively with our product marketing and product team to align messaging and understand relevant product launches and moments to roll into each customer program or campaign
We're looking for someone with:
* 5+ years of B2D or B2B experience in growth marketing, with a focus on product-led growth and/or feature adoption and lifecycle marketing
* Experience designing and executing cross-sell/up-sell strategies to expand customer adoption across product offerings, leveraging insights and tailored messaging to drive incremental growth
* Experience collaborating closely with Sales to drive pipeline generation programs
* Experience with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and Email platforms
* Experience in managing multiple cross-functional stakeholders and project management skills
* Drive to provide the best possible experience to our users and understanding of how to drive customer engagement and product usage through value-based marketing
* Passion to objectively measure your efforts and only make decisions based on data
* A collaborative mindset - you love working with others and incorporating relevant feedback in a highly cross-functional environment
* An owner mentality - you take complete ownership of your tasks and champion efforts to get them to completion even if it means challenging the status quo
