Job Description:

This position is responsible for commercial purchasing of Stamping components in North America, as part of the organization with responsibility for strategic and operational purchasing for Bosch Mobility Solutions worldwide
* Support the Category strategy for components in the region in alignment with the global Category strategy maintaining strong relationships with the suppliers.
* Drive competition in the region and negotiate to achieve targets with the suppliers under your area of responsibility
* Participation on continuous improvement process (Quality, Process, Time) related to Supplier base under her/his responsibility
* Perform operational purchasing tasks for the direct demands (Robert Bosch plants) and subcontracted demands including RFQs "Request for quotation", awarding and contract process, support for proper payment to suppliers, and as purchasing escalation contact person for delivery and quality issues.
* Support RPP "Ratio Projects" and localization project needs for regional stakeholders, incl. RMI "Raw material Impact" effect tracking and reporting.
* Maintain pricing agreements, framework agreements and quality assurance agreements at the latest version while achieving purchasing and logistic goals (i.e. Payment terms (DPO), consignment)
* Prepare and provide updates on the price development and planning (i.e. Business Plan, Current Forecast) to Material Field leader as required
* Support the purchasing activities to achieve the local, regional and global targets

Qualifications:

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
* A minimum of a Bachelors Degree (4-year) from an accredited university
* 1-2 years of experience in purchasing roles, preferable automotive industry
* Open to travel domestically and internationally
* Knowledge on production processes (die casting, machining, stamping parts)
* Fluent English for business environment / German desirable
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Direct commodity purchasing or project purchasing experience
* Negotiation skills (also in difficult situations)
* Working knowledge of SAP systems
* Project management skillset and ability to manage complexity / Focus on Results
* Ability to perform and communicate effectively in a dynamic, international work environment
* Strategic mindset
