Job Description:
Group IT Controlling is looking for an IT Controller to support the Group IT Infrastructure and Security Department with cost controlling, budget planning, and administrative activities in line with Group recommendations and legal compliance. The IT Controller will report to the IT Controlling Team Lead and support IT Directors and other stakeholders.
Your primary responsibilities include day-to-day control and compliance for IT costs and the allocation of IT fees. A key part of the role is preparing and reconciling budgets - participating in the budgeting process, supervising assigned IT scopes, providing feedback to relevant IT Directors, and challenging the accuracy and validity of submitted data. Additionally, you will contribute to initiatives aimed at improving cost transparency and enhancing cost reporting capabilities.
In the area of cost controlling, you will organize accurate tracking of IT expenses on a large scale, covering cost centers distributed globally. You will analyze variances between actuals, budgets, and forecasts, report findings to stakeholders, identify risks, and challenge budget owners to close gaps while monitoring corrective action plans. Furthermore, you will coordinate the implementation of agreed solutions such as asset capitalization, accrual bookings, and proper P&L line usage in collaboration with local finance teams. Profitability analysis and evaluation of IT infrastructure and security investments are also part of your responsibilities.
From an organizational perspective, you will provide explanations and respond to inquiries from business, finance, and IT leaders regarding IT fees. You will work closely with Group IT and Group Finance to support the introduction and management of the Group's financial policies and procedures. Maintaining the financial setup and flows within the IT organization and coordinating accurate intercompany invoicing with National Service Centers are also essential aspects of the role.
Qualifications:
Hard Skills
We are looking for a candidate with strong technical and financial expertise. Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel with VBA, is essential. A solid academic background with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is required, along with 1-3 years of experience as a Controller, Financial Analyst, Accountant, or Auditor. Fluency in English is a must for working in an international environment. Experience with IT projects will be considered a plus, and familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics AX, Power BI/Power Query, or Cognos TM1 would be highly advantageous.
Soft Skills
Equally important are your personal qualities. We value a dynamic, proactive, and detail-oriented approach, combined with a strong sense of responsibility for priorities, deadlines, and data quality. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as you will collaborate with diverse teams across the organisation. Strong analytical thinking will help you succeed in managing complex financial data and supporting decision-making processes.
