Position: Permanent
Location: Sunderland
Reports To: Site Operations Manager
Team: Facility & Production Maintenance team (~8 members)
Working Conditions: Day Shift
Experience Required: Yes
Start: ASAP

Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Maintenance team, ensuring proactive and reactive support for all equipment and infrastructure.
* Manage plant maintenance budgets and deliver annual KPI/process improvement plans.
* Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment and Fire standards.
* Drive operational effectiveness (zero downtime, improved MTBF, reduced total hours lost).
* Support Apprenticeship Program, training, succession planning, and diversity initiatives.
* Implement best practice policies, procedures, and continuous improvement (TIC, IDEA, TWW).
* Deliver projects within CAPEX budget.
* Support product/program launches with zero disruption and on budget.

Requirements
* Proven leadership experience in maintenance/engineering function.
* Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, KPI management, and continuous improvement methods.
* Ability to manage budgets, projects, and drive operational excellence.
* Good understanding of HSE standards and compliance.
* Skilled in mentoring, coaching, and developing technical teams.
* Experience with innovation, modern manufacturing principles, and process improvement.
* Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
* Chemical industry experience is a plus.
