We are looking for a talented Asset Change Manager to join our team on a major UK defence capital works programme in Reading. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing asset change within a complex, safety critical and highly regulated environment. The role involves supporting changes to a range of assets, including facilities, plant and equipment, and facility-owned processes, ensuring that hazards and risks associated with change are identified, assessed and effectively managed through robust governance. Your work will contribute to the delivery of nationally significant infrastructure supporting the UK's strategic defence capability.
Please Note: This role is subject to security clearance requirements. Appointment will be dependent on the successful candidate meeting the eligibility criteria to obtain and maintain the required clearance.
You'll be responsible for:
* Managing and delivering Asset Change Requests (ACRs) in line with the asset change process.
* Ensuring asset changes achieve the correct balance between timely delivery and compliant outcomes.
* Planning and coordinating ACR activities across multiple stakeholders.
* Proposing, justifying and agreeing appropriate change routes in collaboration with stakeholders.
* Owning the ACR throughout its lifecycle, including justification, funding, implementation and close-out.
* Providing advice and guidance on the asset change process and ensuring configuration records are updated.
* Ensuring changes comply with nuclear licence conditions and relevant safety and environmental regulations.
* Providing performance data and reporting on ACR delivery.
* Supporting management reviews of ACR assessments as required.
* Actively participating in change boards and governance forums.
You'll need to have:
* A background in project management, construction management, facilities management or asset management.
* Experience working in regulated or safety critical environments.
* An understanding of how change impacts safety, risk and compliance.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
* Good planning, coordination and organisational capability.
* Confidence working with governance processes, reporting and performance data.
* Strong digital capability and willingness to adopt programme systems and tools.
* A proactive mindset with a desire to develop your career within a major defence programme.
