As a Materials and Inventory Control Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth and uninterrupted production by making sure the right materials are available at the right time. You will oversee material planning, inventory control, and the overall flow of materials across the site.
In this role, you will have a real impact on business performance by balancing material availability, cost, and efficiency while maintaining high standards of compliance and inventory accuracy. You will lead and develop a team and collaborate closely with procurement, planning, warehouse, quality, and manufacturing teams to drive strong service performance.
You will also contribute to building a culture of continuous improvement, working on initiatives that simplify processes, improve material flow, and enhance overall supply chain effectiveness.
Key responsibilities
* Lead material planning and inventory control activities to ensure reliable material availability and optimal stock levels.
* Oversee MRP processes and drive continuous improvement of planning parameters, data quality, and inventory performance.
* Monitor key KPIs (inventory accuracy, coverage, risks) and provide clear visibility to support operational and financial decisions.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, production, quality, and warehouse to resolve supply issues and ensure smooth execution of the production plan.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean / CI / HAPS) to enhance material flow, reduce waste, and improve service performance.
* Lead, coach, and develop the team, building strong capabilities in planning and inventory management while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
* Support new product launches, transfers, and site projects by ensuring material readiness and stable inventory control processes.
* Ensure compliance with EHS, GMP/GDP, and quality standards, and maintain strong governance over logistics and warehouse operations.

Why you?
We are looking for someone who meets the following requirements:
* University degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
* Several years of experience in materials planning, inventory control, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
* Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (ideally SAP) and a solid understanding of inventory planning parameters and master data.
* Proven ability to improve service levels, inventory accuracy, and process efficiency through data-driven decision-making.
* Experience leading or supervising a team is an advantage.
Skills and competencies
* Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to work confidently with data, KPIs, and root-cause analysis.
* Good understanding of planning and inventory control principles.
* Effective communication and stakeholder management across cross-functional teams.
* Leadership capability with a focus on coaching, accountability, and team development.
* Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to drive standardization and efficiency.
* Good command of English and advanced Excel skills.
