Werkstudent Film & Visual Storytelling (Creative Content)

We are a journaling and stationery company focused on thinking on paper and bringing IRL back in a digital-first world.

We’re looking for a film student to work closely with our founder as a creative filmmaking partner. This role is about visual storytelling, mood, rhythm, and translating ideas into compelling short- and long-form video content.

You’ll be on-site in Munich 2 days per week, filming, experimenting with ideas, and shaping visual narratives together. The remaining time will be spent editing and refining content independently.

This is not a marketing or social media management role. We’re looking for someone who thinks in images, sequences, and stories — and who wants to build a strong portfolio through real creative collaboration.

What you’ll do:

Film on-site content (studio-style, documentary-style, experimental formats)

Edit short- and mid-form videos (Reels, Shorts, YouTube-style content)

Co-develop visual concepts and storytelling approaches

Experiment with mood, pacing, framing, and narrative structure

Help shape a consistent visual language across content

This is a long-term, paid student role (25–30h/week), intended to grow alongside your studies.

Creative Application Task

As part of the application, please complete the following short creative task:

Create a 30–60 second video that visually expresses the idea
“Thinking on paper in a digital world.”

You’re free to interpret this in your own way.

Guidelines:

The video does not need to feature our brand

Film anything available to you (desk, notebook, city, hands, textures, light, movement)

Any style is welcome: cinematic, documentary, experimental, minimal

Focus on mood, rhythm, and visual storytelling

Perfection is not expected

Please include:

A private video link (Vimeo / YouTube unlisted / Drive)

2–3 sentences explaining your idea and one creative choice you’re proud of

Time expectation:
Please don’t spend more than 60–90 minutes total.

We’re more interested in how you see the world than in technical polish.

Profil requis du candidat:

Currently studying film, cinematography, directing, media production, or a closely related field

Strong sense for visual storytelling, composition, and rhythm

Comfortable filming and editing independently

Interested in ideas, depth, and creative experimentation

Enjoys collaborating closely and thinking out loud together

Based in or near Munich and able to work on-site regularly



Nice to have (but not required):

Experience with short-form storytelling formats

Documentary or experimental film interest

Personal projects or a showreel you’re proud of
