JLL SUMMER INTERNSHIP

Within our program, interns are an integral part of our team working alongside real estate analysts, transaction professionals and other associates. You will gain valuable insight into the commercial real estate industry while being exposed to multiple lines of business over the course of your internship.

As a Commissioning Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with JLL, a leading provider of testing, commissioning, and condition assessment services. Working on some of the largest infrastructure projects in Canada, this position offers exposure across various sectors including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, etc. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality solutions and services that optimize the performance and efficiency of facilities.

AS A COMMISSIONING SUMMER INTERN AT JLL YOU WILL:

As a Commissioning Intern, you will assist our Commissioning Team in various project activities. Your primary responsibility will be to support the commissioning process, working closely with experienced professionals to ensure that buildings and systems meet the required standards for functionality, performance, and sustainability. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking hands-on experience in a dynamic and growing field.

* Support commissioning team members in conducting field inspections, tests, and evaluations of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

* Assist in the development and implementation of commissioning plans, methods, and procedures.

* Document and track the progress of commissioning activities, including generating reports, checklists, and other relevant documentation.

* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate commissioning activities and ensure project timelines are met.

* Analyze and interpret technical data and reports to identify deficiencies, recommend corrective measures, and ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

* Participate in site visits and meetings with clients to gain a comprehensive understanding of their needs and provide technical support as required.

* Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in the field of commissioning.

* Assist in compiling commissioning-related data and preparing presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

* Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and ethics standards at all times.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

* Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management, technologies, trade, or a related field.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex technical issues and propose practical solutions.

* Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

* Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to quickly learn new software applications.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

* Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a proactive and positive attitude.

* Familiarity with building systems and construction practices is a plus.

Estimated compensation for this position is: 41,600.00 - 49,920.00 CAD per year

Salary ranges are based on market data, which is reviewed annually and includes consideration of geographic location. An employment offer is based on an applicant's experience, education, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
