About the opportunity

As an Intern - Payments and Acceptance you will play a crucial role in maintaining
* Operational continuity and driving performance oversight for the Instashop platform. Supporting core daily workflows across payment reconciliation and performance tracking, you will directly safeguard data quality, optimize key metrics, and mitigate critical business risks.
* Payment Reconciliation & Oversight: Execute daily manual oversight to reconcile payment data, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across SFTP reports.
* Payment Launch Testing: Participate in testing, validation, and quality control during new payment method launches to prevent financial discrepancies, unpaid settlements, and system bugs.
* Performance Management & KPI Monitoring: Monitor and track core platform metrics,including Cost Per Order (CPO), Acceptance Rate, Success Rate, Decline Rate, and status mismatches between PSPs and the backend.
* Discrepancy & Bug Identification: Proactively identify system anomalies, status mismatches,or technical glitches, escalating and resolving operational risks before they impact platform performance.
* Workflow Execution: Manage manual operational workflows and constrained access points to maintain single-point reliability and operational stability.
* Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with internal operations, finance, and product teams to uphold platform health and service levels.

What you need to be successful

* Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical capabilities, with solid proficiency in data handling tools (Excel, Google Sheets).
* High Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to data verification, manual report reconciliation, and system testing.
* Technical & Process Adaptability: Quick learner with the ability to understand payment gateway systems (PSP), backend statuses, and SFTP data flows.
* Problem-Solving & Ownership: Proactive, self-motivated mindset with a strong sense of ownership to drive daily task execution with minimal oversight.
* Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Arabic is a plus
