The team you'll be part of

The internship will take place within (COMPANY NAME) Bell Labs Research facilities in France, located in (COMPANY NAME) Paris Saclay premise in Massy (12 Rue Jean Bart, 91300 Massy) which is around 15 km south from Paris:

* The premise is within 10-minute walk from Massy-Palaiseau RER B/C station

Alternatively, you can get there by car either via A6a/A10 (exit D188 towards Palaiseau/Massy/Villebon-sur-Yvette)

RESPONSIBILITIES

What you will learn and contribute to

Reliable and energy efficient transmission, data privacy and sustainability are great challenges in data sharing. Specially for 5G advanced and 6G networks data is distributed with the wide deployment of various connected Internet of Thing (IoT) devices, and are generated from many distributed network nodes, e.g., end users, small Base Stations or Distributed Units and the network edge.

Recently, generative models have been demonstrated playing a key role in data sharing while preserving privacy. They are unsupervised machine learning methods where the model learns to discover the patterns in input data. Using this knowledge, they are able to generate synthetic data which distribution is similar to the original data one. So, instead of sending original data, many applications use them to (re)create new living or virtual entities but also to transfer data. Generative models are shown be useful in many scenarios such as health and financial applications but also telecom applications. Currently, there is growing interest in fast, low-cost and energy-efficient generative models for many applications in 5G/6G applications.

The intern will participate in this research study with (COMPANY NAME) Bell Labs researchers. He/She will:

* Learn and get familiar with Generative AIs, Machine Learning algos and 5G/6G
* Get familiar with simulation framework of Generative AIs performance and help make it more modular with appropriate change.
* Investigate new models and evaluate their performance with the simulation framework of Generative AIs performance.
* Theoretical and practical evaluation of the proposed solution by providing a deep analysis and a comparison to the previous works.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Your skills and experience

Required Skills

Autonomy and motivation.

Bash/Shell script, Python, C/C++, generative AI and deep learning tools (tensorflow, keras, Pytorch…)

Solid Mathematical background.

Knowledge in 5G/6G shall be a plus.

Good communication skills (written and verbal) in both English and French

Master 2 in Artificial Intelligence
