ESG Private Assets Internship

Description du poste:

The ESG Private Assets team supports the functional oversight and coordination of ESG initiatives related to private markets across Generali Asset Management (GenAM). We work with investment teams and central ESG stakeholders to help embed ESG considerations into the investment process, monitor progress, and ensure consistent reporting and communication.

Main activities:
* ESG research & monitoring: Track ESG trends, regulations and market practices relevant to private assets, and summarize key takeaways for the team.
* Data collection & quality checks: Support the collection, cleaning and validation of ESG data (internal and external providers) and help maintain ESG datasets for reporting and analysis.
* Reporting & materials: Contribute to ESG reports, presentations and dashboards (e.g., Excel/Power BI) for internal stakeholders, clients and other external requests.
* Project support: Help coordinate ESG initiatives for private assets (timelines, action logs, follow-ups) and support continuous improvement of processes and documentation.
* Knowledge management: Keep ESG documentation, trackers and datasets up to date, ensuring information is well-organized and easily accessible for the team.
* Learning & development: Build a solid understanding of ESG concepts and private markets through on-the-job training, and proactively share learnings with the team.

Profil requis du candidat:

* Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field.
* Advanced English required (above B2; C1 or equivalent preferred).
* Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to synthesize information into clear outputs.
* Very good Excel skills; confident in building structured analyses and presentations.
* Interest in ESG and responsible investment in private markets, with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Nice to have:
* Basic knowledge of Python and/or Power BI (or strong willingness to learn quickly).
* Familiarity with ESG reporting tools, databases, or data providers.
* Study or work experience abroad / international exposure.
* Prior internship or project experience in ESG, sustainable finance, consulting, asset management, or private markets
