Description du poste:

SUMMARY:

* Full-time; temporary role starting in June/July 2024
* 6 days a week contract, weekend availability
* Live-In required with accommodation provided on site
* Residence emergency phone duty
* Reports to Residence Manager
* Residence located in the heart of the City, less than a 15 minute walk from campus and the City Centre

OBJECTIVES:
* To support the Residence Manager in running an efficient department
* To ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction is delivered to students
* To ensure Weekends are run smoothly and residence assistants are supported
* To support students in their daily life and enable them to achieve the best experience and highest learning possible
* To promote the best image of the school in the local community through contact with local suppliers, contractors, and others
* To ensure all health and safety requirements are adhered to
* To ensure effective and efficient teamwork
* To maintain EF policies, regulations, and criteria of accrediting bodies
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Live in EF residential accommodation and oversee comfort, safety, and conduct of students
* To assist the Residence Manager ensuring Weekends are well planned and run smoothly with lots of energy and welcoming
* To organize the work process / delegate duties between residential
* To assist with Weekend reception duties overseeing arrivals and departures from residence accommodation
* To prepare arrival & departure documents for residential assistants on duty at weekend
* To ensure standards of rooms and quality of services are maintained by conducting weekly building checks, checking, and updating posters and signs when appropriate
* To assist with curfew and ensuring under 18 students are in their rooms by assigned time
* To assist students with general enquiries and take appropriate action in the event of student misconduct, addressing concerns with relevant school staff
* To ensure student welcome packs are ready for each weekend's new arrivals
* To ensure Safeguarding procedures are in place and concerns are shared with relevant school staff
* To follow EF procedures and take responsibility for fire safety in the event of alarms by receiving training in operating fire alarm system, familiarising self with evacuation procedures, and always acting appropriately in the event of a fire or alarm
* To ensure communication between day and night staff during the Weekend is effective and followed up
* To support security team when required
* To assist with emergency phones when required ensuring teamwork
* To attend regular staff meetings and adhere to the Residence Assistant Code of Conduct
* Report issues or concerns promptly to the Residence Manage
