London Building Control, in partnership with Bureau Veritas, is seeking an ambitious Graduate / Trainee Registered Building Inspector to join our growing team in Exeter.

About the Role
Working alongside experienced professionals, you will develop the technical knowledge and practical skills required to become a Registered Building Inspector.
You will gain exposure to a wide range of construction projects while learning how to interpret Building Regulations, assess compliance and support clients throughout the construction process.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist with Building Regulations plan assessments
* Attend site inspections alongside qualified Registered Building Inspectors
* Develop knowledge of Building Regulations and Approved Documents
* Support the preparation of statutory documentation
* Record inspection findings and assist in producing reports
* Liaise with architects, contractors, developers and clients
* Participate in technical training and development programmes
* Develop knowledge of the Building Safety Act and RBI competency requirements
* Maintain accurate project records and documentation
* Support the delivery of a high-quality Building Control service

About You
We're seeking technically minded individuals who enjoy problem-solving, are keen to learn and are looking to develop a long-term career within the construction industry.
To apply, you will need one of the following:
* A minimum of 3 A-Levels at Grade C or above (or equivalent, 80 UCAS points)
* A Level 3 NVQ qualification in Construction or a related discipline
* Demonstrable experience in a relevant field, such as:
* Construction
* Building Services
* Fire Safety
* Engineering
* Armed Forces/Ex-Military
* Other technical or compliance-based environments

Essential Skills
* A genuine interest in Building Control and the built environment
* Strong problem-solving abilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Good attention to detail
* Microsoft Office proficiency
* Ability to learn and apply technical legislation and guidance
* Full UK driving licence
