We are Strategy!
As the department for business unit and product strategy (VAN/PSS) in the Mercedes-Benz Vans division, we set the course for corporate strategy, product planning and the future vehicle portfolio. To this end, we work hand in hand with our partners on a sustainable strategy for our business unit and ensure the competitiveness of our van products.
Within the department, our team designs the portfolio strategy, develops product concepts with outstanding innovations and analyzes the competitiveness of our vehicles. We evaluate the potential of new vehicle derivatives based on the needs of our customers, the requirements of our markets and future trends. We subject the ideas to a cross-divisional and cross-functional technical feasibility test and examine their economic potential. We also subject our existing model series to continuous testing in terms of market potential, competitiveness and complexity. We design innovations in our vehicles that generate enthusiasm among our customers, improve sustainability and make everyday life easier. As part of the Mercedes-Benz Vans strategy, we also develop show cars that cause a stir at motor shows around the world.

* Independent analysis of future automotive trends, competitive comparisons and sales markets
* Support in the further development of a comprehensive portfolio strategy compendium
* Participation in the design of new Mercedes-Benz Vans vehicle derivatives in the strategic phase
* Assistance in portfolio strategy and innovation management as well as derivation of potentials with regard to markets and positions for Mercedes-Benz Vans
* Support in the coordination and preparation of cross-functional decision papers for decision-making within Mercedes-Benz Vans top management and Mercedes-Benz AG
* Support in the ongoing optimization of our existing model series
* Collaboration in the organization and implementation of cross-functional project teams, workshops and events

Qualifikationen

* Degree in economics, industrial engineering or a comparable course of study
* Business fluent in written and spoken German and English
* Confident handling of Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint & Excel)
* High analytical and conceptual skills
* Quick comprehension
* Team spirit
* Enthusiasm for automobiles, especially electromobility
* Experience in creating presentations including visualization of complex contexts
* Driving license class B desirable
